2. The government has suspended Shashi Shankar, the Director of the country's biggest oil producing company, Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. on charges of irregularities. Shankar is the youngest director on the board of the nation’s most profitable oil company. He was appointed Director (Technical and Field Services) on February 1 last year.
पेट्रोलियम मंत्रालय ने तेल एवं प्राकृतिक गैस निगम (ओएनजीसी) के निदेशक शशि शंकर को अनियमितताओं के आरोप में निलंबित कर दिया है। वह देश की सबसे अधिक मुनाफे वाली कंपनी के बोर्ड में सबसे युवा निदेशक हैं। शंकर को पिछले साल 1 फरवरी को निदेशक (तकनीकी एवं फील्ड सेवाएं) नियुक्त किया गया था।

Recognising the importance of easy access of credit, in the budget of 2014-15, a special fund of Rs. 2,000 crore has been created in National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) for providing affordable credit to entrepreneurs for setting up of food processing units in designated Food Parks.
2014-15 के बजट में ऋण की आसान उपलब्धता के महत्व को ध्यान में रखते हुए राष्ट्रीय कृषि और ग्रामीण विकास बैंक (नाबार्ड) ने निर्दिष्ट फूड पार्कों में खाद्य प्रसंस्करण इकाइयों की स्थापना के लिए उद्यमियों को सस्ते ऋण उपलब्ध कराने के लिए 2,000 करोड़ रुपये का एक विशेष कोष बनाया है।
4. The report of the 14th Finance Commission was tabled in the Parliament by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley. According to an Action Taken Report on the recommendations given by the Commission, the Centre has decided to devolve a much higher share of 42% of the Union’s tax receipts to the States. Compared to 2014-15, this will be a significant enhancement of 10% over the 32% during the award period of the 13th Finance Commission.
केन्द्रीय वित्त मंत्री अरुण जेटली द्वारा संसद के पटल पर 14वें वित्त आयोग की रिपोर्ट प्रस्तुत की गई। वर्ष 2014-15 में राज्यों को केन्द्रीय करों में से जहाँ 32% हिस्सेदारी प्राप्त होती थी, वहीं 14वें वित्त आयोग ने इसे 10% बढ़ाकर 42% तक ले जाने की सिफारिश की है, जिसे सरकार का अनुमोदन प्राप्त हो गया है।
5. In a unique experiment State Bank of India (SBI) initiated a new loan collection model that allows borrowers to pay back on a daily installment basis. This initiative has been started primarily to keep bad loans in check. This first-of-its-kind loan product offering has been made to Olacabs. Olacabs is a renowned cab-hailing service company. Under the tie-up, cab owners associated with Olacabs can avail themselves of car loans from SBI on a preferential basis, with faster loan turnaround time.
भारतीय स्टेट बैंक (एसबीआई) ने एक अनूठे प्रयोग के तहत ऋण वसूलने के लिए दैनिक आधार पर किश्त अदा करने का मॉडल शुरू किया है। इसके माध्यम से बैंक मुख्यत: अपने नुकसानदेह ऋणों को कम करना चाहता है। एसबीआई ने इस अनूठे ऋण वसूली प्रयोग के लिए ओलाकैब्स के साथ समझौता किया है। ओलाकैब्स मोबाइल फोन ऐप द्वारा टैक्सी किराए पर प्रदान करने वाली एक प्रसिद्ध सेवा कम्पनी है। इसके तहत ओलाकैब्स की टैक्सी सेवा में टैक्सी चलाने वाले चालक एसबीआई से ऋण ले सकेंगे तथा लिए गए ऋण के लिए वे दैनिक आधार पर भुगतान कर सकेंगे।
6. Anirban Lahiri has moved up five places from 39 to 34 in the Official World Golf Rankings. Anirban achieved his career-high ranking of 34 after bagging the Indian Open title, an event co-sanctioned by the European Tour and Asian Tour, at the Delhi Golf Club.

Pachauri in a letter to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon said that he was unable to provide strong leadership to the organisation. The organisation will now be led by acting chair Ismail El Gizouli until the election for a new chairperson is conducted.

10. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mr. Akhilesh Yadav presented a Rs. 3,02,687 crore budget for the financial year 2015-16 in the legislative assembly. The budget size this year is 10.2 per cent more than the previous year. It is an inclusive budget which has taken full care of infrastructure development as well as of villages, poor and farmers. Decision has been taken to observe the year 2015-16 as the 'Year of the Farmer'.
उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री अखिलेश कुमार सिंह यादव ने वित्त वर्ष 2015-16 के लिए 3,02,687 करोड़ रूपए का बजट विधानसभा में पेश किया, जो कि वित्त वर्ष 2014-15 के बजट से 10.2 प्रतिशत अधिक है। यह एक समावेशी बजट है जिसमे बुनियादी ढांचे और साथ ही गांवों, गरीबों और किसानों के विकास का पूरा ध्यान रखा गया है। वर्ष 2015-16 को किसान वर्ष के रूप में मनाने की भी घोषणा की गई।
